Misha Pedan’s book ”M” is poetic chronicle of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic — an everyday that seems so dull, grey and lifeless. All the photographs are taken while commuting on the subway of Kharkiv during 1985-86.

Each day Pedan travelled for 45 minutes into town and 45 minutes back, spending some 1000 hours in the tube. These are the poeple he met. All photos were taken in secret.
