At last! A show and talk by Matt Eich, who is coming all the way from the States especially for this occasion. We have been trying to arrange this for some time, we first saw his pictures when he was planning this book and they made a huge impact on us. This will be his first solo exhibition in Europe!
Matt Eich (born 1986) is a portrait photographer and photographic essayist working on long-form projects about the American condition.
His work is widely exhibited and represented in the permanent collections of many American museums. His projects have received grant support from the Alexia Foundation, the Aaron Siskind Fellowship, a VMFA Professional Fellowship, NPPA Short Grant, National Geographic Magazine and twice received the Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography.
‘Carry Me Ohio’, published by Sturm & Drang in 2016, is a soulful and haunting homage to the rural America where Matt Eich has lived for the last decade.
