Violeta Bubelytė - vis-à-vis
Lithuanian Union of Photographers 2020
The new publication publishes both early and recently created works of Violeta Bubelytė. This book is like a dialogue between two Violets - the early black and white, often melancholic Violets and today's noisy and somewhat ironic Violets. In this way, the individual performance created by the artist in each individual print is combined into a sixty-nine-part thriller. And the viewer is invited to a personal visual adventure. As the author of the essay published in the book, Adam Mazur, states: "The creator fascinates and enchants the audience. She is magical, and her body and face can be calmly observed for hours. Paintings are like a screen that shows the viewer's emotions and feelings. One will be delighted, another will be saddened, a third will be excited, a fourth will be annoyed, but none will remain indifferent. Violeta Bubelytė accepts all emotions and vibrations of the soul as a compliment. She does not want to accept only one thing - indifference."
