The Bildband team provides a range of workshops from analogue printing to zine making. We also host workshops by international artists and creators in the photography field.
Tintype Workshop with Image Atlas at Bildband on October 10th 2026
Step into the alchemy of this 19th century photo process and learn how to make your own silver metal photograph from scratch.
You will be guided through all the chemical steps in the darkroom and then left toto play to make your own timeless portraits on large format cameras.No prior photography experience necessary.
After the sucess of her last Tintype Workshop at Bildband, Angela Jones of Image Atlas returns to share the magic surrounded by incredible photo books and in our beautiful back garden.

Bildband Berlin Zine Making Workshop 11+12th April - Launch Event 23rd April *RISO EDITION*
We would like to invite you to take part in the Bildband Berlin zine making workshop with Joe Dilworth and Youvalle Levy.
For the first time we will print the zines Riso - one colour- Black. This means the photos will be B&W, you can bring colour photos to the workshop but the end result will be B&W.
Printing by Riso expert Rada Nastai from Bruise Studio.
NEW DATES: 11+12th April and 23rd April
Day 1 Saturday 11th April: In a group of up to 10 people we will sequence and edit your project.
Day 2 Sunday 12th April: You will learn how to use a layout program and work with a pre-existing designed template. Once the project is ready we will send it to print.
Day 3 Thursday 23rd April 18-21.00: See the printed result! the zines would be printed and available for sale at the shop. Invite your friends in the evening for a drink to celebrate the end of the workshop and show your new zine.
Included in the price are 25 copies of your zine!

One day darkroom printing workshop with Joe Dilworth
At the start of the workshop we will make a selection from your own negatives and print them. We have a large stock of Orwo and Ilford paper, both Baryt and Resin Coated, I will show the differences and advantages/disadvantages of both, and how best to use them.
We have four great enlargers, Leitz Focomat 1c, Leitz Focomat 2c, Durst M605, Leitz Focomat v35, and I will show their differences.
