Collection Regard 2011
Berlin 1945-1946. Hein Gorny, who was one of the New Objectivity photographers, and the American Adolph C. Byers photographed the most famous buildings and architectural ensembles from the air and on the ground.
The impressive rubble motifs are complemented by further pictures by Friedrich Seidenstücker from Gorny's estate. The photographs from Marc Barbey's Collection Regard, published here for the first time and commented on by Berlin expert Enno Kaufhold, leave no one untouched - even after 65 years. The book is a homage to Berlin.
