Clemens Fischer - Then I Met You
Self published 2019
Edition of 50
In his work Clemens Fischer perceives small breaks in reality and turns them into extremely dense pictures and forms. He has the ability to form unique creations from the seemingly banal reality, which challenge the viewer and always rely on her or his ability to draw associations. \nHis images and installations stand first of all for themselves, referring to their own cosmos and subjectivity and only thereafter to the world that surrounds them. They constantly provoke the viewer into uncertainty. Apparently, there is a gap behind reality as we perceive it – a void. Existence is temporary. He has a keen sense of this. For him, coincidence, humour and the incredible are closely interrelated.
Clemens Fischer works in Berlin and Lausanne Switzerland.
