"The Line Segment," an artist book by two artists Aleksandra Cieślewicz and Chih-Chien Wang, is a visual conversation between two individuals coming from different cultures and backgrounds. Process of taking and collecting pictures, in the years from 2016 to 2019, was a way to communicate and exchange observations and thoughts. The selection of pictures doesn't create a clear story, nor document a single place or subject. Rather, it resulted in a form of visual constructions where the context and interpretation are kept open, and the authorship of individual work is blurred. It’s a book embracing uncertainty and the constant change of perceptions.
