Andre Djanikian - Algunos Sentimientos No Cambian Junto A Las Estaciones
Selo Turvo 2025
Among the shards scattered across the sidewalks, dark underground passages, and the deafening music that reverberates in the contours of what we recognize as our own shell. The up and down the endless staircase of an existence that wanders in search of its fragments, the fire that burns the papers scattered on the ground, the unknown that lowers its head and refuses to meet our gaze, the slow-motion journey of the train that carries within it the fog of its jumbled memories. And the sleeping tree seen through the crack in the window does not share the secret that one day it will bloom.
“In choosing the image to be portrayed, there is some desire to rediscover what one believes corresponds to who one is. I am sitting on a dark street / breathing my own solitude [...] I am afraid to look in the trash cans / because in one of them I might find myself. The leaves of the trees dry, fall to the ground, are carried away by the wind. Hair grows, monuments are covered in dust and salt. Anguish does not lie – it changes, it changes – and it is not merely an action of time… Do you want to lie to a liar?”
