The world is a strange place. Christoph Schieder approaches it in his very own way. Dark and dystopian at first glance, his images unfold a peculiar poetry of the in-between stage. The locations of his photos wait silently between demolition and new construction, harvest and sowing, abandonment and revival. So Schieder also understands his pictures as an observation of the contradictory feelings that something has to change and that everything should stay as it is.
